A Federal High Court in Lagos has struck out Bukola Saraki’s bid to stop his arrest, prosecution and trial in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The embattled Senate President who is being tried for false asset declaration at the Code of Conduct Tribunal has tried to stall his trial before now but failed.
Saraki who served as two-term governor of Kwara state as a 13-count charge of corruption levelled against him.
Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal on Friday, 30th October 2015 upheld the trial of the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, by the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Saraki had after the ruling at the appellate court, stated that he would be heading to the Supreme Court in search of justice after a Court of Appeal ruled against him.
