It was organised by Servicom office in collaboration with House of Representatives Committee on Inter-governmental Affairs on Monday in Ibadan.

Speaking on the theme: “Promoting Excellent Service Delivery in the Public Sector”, she said it was an essential condition for economic development.

According to her, it is one of the set objectives of the conference to create a positive organisational culture among MDAs.

This, she said, would set clear expectations to hold employees accountable in their various service windows.

Akajemeli added that the conference sought to generate high level discourse around key challenges as well as the 21st century approaches for sustainable transformation in the Nigerian public sector.

“This conference predicated on our continuous drive towards attaining our collective dream of a better Nigeria anchored by Mr President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“The agenda can only be achieved through visionary leadership, strengthened public sector transparency and accountability systems, among others.

“The conference would accord participants the opportunity to share ideas and experiences with regards to building leadership skills and commitment that would enhance employee engagement and productivity in various MDAs,”she said.

Nwachukwu, a member of All Progressives Congress (APC), representing Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo, was represented by his deputy, Mr Ime Okon, (PDP)Akwa Ibom.

He noted that determination of the legislators to ensure effective service delivery in public sector led to its collaboration with servicom office to enhance service delivery to the people.

“It is expected that delegates at this conference would go back to their various MDAs to cascade the knowledge to remaining staffers to improve service delivery, “he said.
