Lighthouse Polytechnic, Evbuobanosa near Benin City, Edo State has been granted approval to run the Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes by the Federal Government.
The approval which was conveyed to the authorities of Lighthouse Polytechnic last week by the Federal Ministry of Education through the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), said the approval was consequent upon the recent visit of the accreditation team of NBTE in October, last year.
According to the NBTE letter, Lighthouse Polytechnic is now approved to offer HND courses in Accountancy, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Technology.
Similarly, the NBTE also accredited more National Diploma (ND) programmes for Lighthouse Polytechnic.
The new ND courses include Banking and Finance, Public Administration and Statistics.
The NBTE further stated that “admission of students into the programme should commence from the 2014/2015 academic session”.
Meanwhile, Lighthouse Polytechnic which is one of the educational arm of Gospel Light International Ministries – New Covenant Gospel Church is currently admitting students into her HND and ND programmers for the 2014/2015 academic session.
Courses available include HND Accountancy, HND Computer Science, HND Electrical Engineering Technology, ND Banking and Finance, ND Public Administration, ND Statistics, ND Accountancy, ND Computer Science, ND Electrical Engineering Technology, ND Estate Management, ND Business Administration and Management and ND Computer Engineering.
The authorities of Lighthouse therefore called all interested student applicants to contact Lighthouse Polytechnic, Evbuobanosa, Benin-Asaba Expressway before Abudu or New Covenant Gospel Church, Headquarters by Edokpolor Grammar School, Benin City, for their enrolments.
