The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kano Sector Command, has announced temporary traffic diversion at Dawanau on Kano/Katsina road following the ongoing railway construction in the area.
The State FRSC sector commander, Idris Mohammed-Lawal disclosed this in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Education Officer, Abdullahi Labaran on Friday in Kano.
He advised motorists travelling from Kano to Katsina to continue through the Kano–Daura Road and use approve diversion to reconnect Katsina Road.
Mohammed-Lawal urged motorists travelling from Katsina and Bichi to Kano to take designated diversion before reaching Dawanau and continue their journey through Daura–Miltara–Kano route.
The sector commander appealed to road users to remain calm and patient, while using the affected corridors.
He also urged motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations, observe speed limits and comply with directives of FRSC personnel and other traffic management officials deployed on the diversion routes.
Mohammed-Lawal regretted any inconvenience the temporary diversion might cause and appreciated the understanding and cooperation of motoring public as work continues on the transport infrastructure project. (NAN).
