A 20-year-old fueling station attendant, Sunday Olasunkanmi, was on Wednesday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over alleged theft of N859,600.

Olasunkanmi, a fuel attendant at OBX Fueling Station, TollGate, Ibadan, was charged with theft, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Insp. Olagoke Adegbenro, told the court that Olasunkanmi committed the offense on Feb. 16, at about 20.00 hours, at the fueling station.

Adegbenro said the defendant stole the money belonging to the fueling station without their consent.

He said the offense contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The magistrate, Mrs. Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 and two sureties in like sum.

Sanusi-Zubair held that the sureties must be biological parents of the defendant and gainfully employed.

She, thereafter, adjourned the case until March 4 for hearing. (NAN)
