Abuja, Feb. 11, 2026 (NAN) The
Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, says the Renewed Hope Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) 3.0 will stimulate the growth of micro and small enterprises and strengthen household incomes.
Mahmoud made the remarks at the inauguration of the programme and disbursement of FarmerMonie Dry/Wet Season in Abuja on Wednesday.
She added that the GEEP 3.0 would equally improve community resilience and improve quality of life.
The minister commended President Bola Tinubu’s visionary leadership in sustaining people-centred interventions that combat poverty, foster inclusive growth, and empower citizens.
She described the programme as a “strategic and timely” intervention that would expand affordable financing to traders, artisans, farmers, women, and youth.
“This, in the long run, will boost micro-enterprises, household incomes, and community resilience,” she said.
Mahmoud described the FarmerMonie Dry/Wet Season disbursement as a “vital step” toward food security, value-chain development, and rural prosperity.
She commended the FermerMonie Technical Working Group for ensuring technical oversight, efficient fund disbursement, prudent utilisation of funds and accountability.
She reaffirmed the FCT Administration’s commitment to collaborating with relevant agencies for maximum benefits of the interventions by the beneficiary.
The minister urged the beneficiaries to use the funds responsibly by reinvesting productively, and prioritising repayment to sustain the programme’s impact.
She equally called on implementing partners to maintain diligence and innovation for the overall success of the programme. (NAN)
