Abuja, Jan. 22, 2026 (NAN) A 30-year-old herbal medicine dealer, Usman Adam, on Thursday appeared before an Asokoro Magistrates’ Court in Abuja for allegedly intimidating and assaulting one Precious Dalandi.
Adam of Area 1 in the Federal Capital Territory is standing trial on a two-count charge bothering on intimidation and assault.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him.
The Prosecutor, S. O. Osho, told the court that the defendant threatened to burn down Dalandi’s apartment if she refuses to accept his love advances to her.
Osho alleged that the defendant later in the process assaulted Danladi for refusing him.
He said the matter which contravened Sections 395 and 265 of the Penal Code was reported at the Durumi Police Station by Dalandi on Jan. 14.
The Magistrate, Mr Abdulmajeet Oniyangi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500, 000 with one surety in like sum.
He ordered that the address of the surety must be verified by the court staff and adjourned the case till Feb. 16, for hearing. (NAN)
