Hisbah reunites 681 persons with families in Jigawa

The Jigawa Hisbah Commission says it successfully reunited 681 persons with their families in its various operations inĀ 2021.

The state Hisbah Commander, Malam Ibrahim Dahiru, said this when he spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse on Tuesday.

Dahiru said that the people included 372 almajiri pupils and 237 women who left home due to forced marriage.

ā€œThere were also 37 mentally challenged persons, 31 missing persons and four minors believed to have been forced into child labour,ā€ he said.

The commander said that the commission also provided financial to 548 persons in the state in the period under review.

Dahiru said that the agency also conducted 1,683 counseling across the 27 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

He commended members of the public for their support to the command and urged residents not to engage in immoral acts and vices capable of destroying the society. (NAN)
