Benin, Aug. 29, 2025 (NAN) Dennis Idahosa, Deputy Governor of Edo, has described his principal, Gov. Monday Okpebholo, as an exemplary and passionate leader whose efforts in infrastructural development have significantly contributed to the state’s growth.
Idahosa made the statement in a message issued on Friday in Benin to celebrate the governor’s 55th birthday anniversary.
In the birthday message, signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mr Friday Aghedo, Idahosa referred to Okpebholo as his “Big Brother.”
He said he had learned valuable lessons from him since assuming office in 2024.
“Sir, in just nine months under your leadership, our state has recorded notable and historic achievements in governance, infrastructure, and human capital development.
“We remain grateful for your vision and exemplary leadership.
“Beyond governance, you embody humility, wisdom, courage, and values that inspire not only me as your deputy but countless others who admire your stewardship,” he added.
The former lawmaker prayed that God grants the governor good health, long life, and renewed strength to continue his noble service to humanity.
“May this new chapter bring you greater wisdom, peace, and fulfilment,” he prayed. (NAN)
