In a significant development today, the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, NPM, has intervened in the alleged assault case involving the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero.
Prompted by the gravity of the incident, IGP Egbetokun has directed the Deputy Inspector General in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) to spearhead a meticulous investigation into the matter.
