Tel Aviv, Sept. 11, 2025 (dpa/NAN) The Israeli military on Thursday reported that a rocket was fired from Yemen, triggering alarm sirens in several parts of the country.

The military later issued an all-clear, stating that Israel’s air-defence system successfully intercepted the projectile. No injuries or significant damage were reported.

The attack came a day after Israeli jets carried out airstrikes on military installations linked to the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in Yemen.

According to the Houthi-run Health Ministry, 35 people were killed in Wednesday’s strikes on Sana’a and al-Jawf province.

The Houthis have repeatedly launched rockets and drones at Israel since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza in October 2023, claiming the attacks are in solidarity with Hamas.

In response, Israel has targeted what it says are Houthi military sites in Yemen.

At the end of August, an Israeli strike reportedly killed the Houthi prime minister and several other ministers. (dpa/NAN)
