Kafanchan (Kaduna State) Feb 21, 2026 (NAN) Mr Amos Samaila has emerged as the new Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Samaila emerged victorious through consensus alongside 26 other executive members during the party’s Local Government Congress conducted on Saturday in Kafanchan, Headquarters of the LGA.
The Congress Committee Chairman, Mr Ado Audu, lauded the party’s members for their peaceful and orderly conduct of the exercise.
“We thought we were coming here to conduct elections from one ward to another, but we are happy all those aspiring for various positions have reached a consensus.
“The 12 wards were all consensus which has made our work easier and we have done the affirmation peacefully without any objections,” he added.
Audu enjoined the newly elected APC executives to close ranks and work to sustain the goodwill the party was enjoying.
In his acceptance speech, Samaila thanked the party’s faithful for the confidence reposed in him and other executives, promising not to let them down.
The chairman pledged to leave no stone unturned towards ensuring the success of the party across all levels in the 2027 general elections.
“I am delighted to have been found worthy to lead our great party in this local government area.
“I will work to unite the party and make sure we deliver Jema’a for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and all other elective positions come 2027,” he stated.
According to him, the APC is the party to beat in Jema’a LGA and the state as a whole.
