The Supreme Court has announced its decision to waive default fees, computation of time in respect of cases affected by the strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).

Director of Press and Information of the apex court, Dr Festus Akande, said the decision effective from June 15 this year was a set of fresh practice directions issued by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Tanko Muhammad.

The CJN said the intention is to alleviate the effect of the strike on litigants and their lawyers.
