The wife of the Katsina deputy governor, Hajiya Mariya Mannir-Yakubu canvassed votes for the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Bola Tinubu.
Mannir-Yakubu, who is the National woman leader and Coordinator of the 19 northern states Tinubu/Shetima campaign, made the call during a rally in Katsina.
She said only candidates of the APC can deliver good governance to the people of Nigeria.
”Tinubu will fulfill his electoral promises. He has track records and experience to lead the country.
”Our presidential candidate was a governor in Lagos and he performed excellently and positioned it on a sound economic base,” she said.
Mannir-Yakubu who interacted with various support groups including women, youths, community leaders, among others noted that Tinubu has excellent plans for Nigeria in the area of Agriculture, industrialisation, empowerment, education, health and security.
She said that Tinubu will not only prioritise the welfare and wellbeing of the women but will also ensure more involvement of women in governance and leadership,
She described elective position as a machinery to serve which has been manifested by the APC Candidate (Tinubu), calling on women to use their numerical strength and come out enmasse to vote for APC in all positions.
While in Baure, Mani, Bindawa and Zango Local Government Areas (LGAs), she called on people in the area to vote for APC to enjoy the rural transformation agenda.
During the visit the coordinator visited the palace of District heads of Baure and Zango to seek fatherly advice.
Speaking in Baure, the local government Chairman, Alhaji Murtala Adamu-Pele appreciated the dividends of democracy provided by the APC in the area and pledged unflinching support for the party. (NAN)
