LG boss empowers 200 aged, vulnerable in Badagry

Gbenu said that the grant was to cushion the effects of economic hardship within communities in the council.
According to him, as a leader, he can not turn blind eyes to the challenges his constituents are facing.
“It is our collective duty to find solutions and provide support during these difficult times.
“To address this issue head-on, we have introduced a cash empowerment programme to cushion the effect of this economic hardship,” he said.
Gbenu said that the aim was to provide financial relief and empower the community members to navigate the changes more effectively.
“This empowerment is designed to alleviate financial burdens and provide opportunities, growth and stability.
“Furthermore, by offering this cash empowerment, we are not merely providing temporary relief, but  empowering each beneficiary to become self-reliant and resilient in the face of the economic challenges.
“I firmly believe that supporting individuals financially will lead to a healthier and more prosperous community as a whole.
“It is pertinent to note that while our cash empowerment programme aims at easing immediate financial burdens, it is also a call to action for our community.
“I urge everyone present here today to support and uplift one another during these trying times,” he said.
