Ikorodu (Lagos State), March 25, 2026 (NAN) A 32-year-old man, Bashiru Sarumi, on Wednesday, appeared before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, for allegedly conducting himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace.
The defendant, whose address was not provided, is standing trial on a three-count charge of threat to life and conduct likely causing breach of peace.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, Insp Adegeshin Famuyiwa, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 21, at about 11:30 p.m. at No 30, Central Mosque Avenue off Shitta Bay Road Erunwen area of Ikorodu, Lagos.
She alleged that the defendant threatened to attack one Abdulkareem Enyonbo on March 22, at about 2: 37p.m at No 1, Pashokun Street, Aga area.
She also alleged that the defendant conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by threatening to deal ruthlessly with one Olumuyiwa Ogunsanmi, a legal practitioner.
The prosecutor added that at same time and date at No.1, Goriola Block Industry off Obafemi Awolowo Road, Erunwen area in Ikorodu, the defendant threatened to kill one Alhaji Goriola Salami, if he returns to his property located at No, 30, Central Mosque Avenue.
She said that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 168 and 168(d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mr A.O. Ogbe, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100, 000, with a surety in like sum.
He ordered that the address of the surety must be verified.
The court adjourned the case until April 16, for mention. (NAN)
