Kaduna, Jan. 21, 2026 (NAN) A 30-year-old man, Aliyu Abubakar, was on Wednesday arraigned before a Shari’a Court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna, over alleged stealing of two aluminimum windows.
The Prosecution, Insp Ahmad Isiyaku, told the court that one Ahmed Musa, a resident of Katsina Road, reported the matter at Sabon Gari Police Station.
Isiyaku said that Musa reports that on Dec. 27, 2025, Abubakar trespassed into the nominal complainant’s office and broke his windows valued at N250,000 and took them away.
He said that during investigation, the defendant confessed to the crime, saying that he sold the two aluminium windows to one Yahya for N9,000.
The prosecutor further stated that the receiver of the stolen goods, who lives on Benue Road, was nowhere to be found.
The defendant, however, pleaded guilty to the offences bordering on trespass and theft.
The Judge, Malam Yakubu Abdullahi, granted bail to the defendant, with a condition that he must provide a reliable surety.
Abdullahi adjourned the matter till Feb. 26 for the police to effect the arrest of the receiver and for judgment.(NAN)
