Nasarawa minority whip urges constituents not to join nationwide protests

 The member representing Lafia Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Solomon Akwashiki, has urged his constituents not to join the planned nationwide August 1 protests.
Akwashiki made the call on Tuesday in Lafia while playing host to the members of his own community, Akassa community.
Akwashiki, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts, assured of his continued commitment to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency.
” With your support and votes, God has done it for the people of Lafia Central constituency.
” My victory came as a result of the mandates you have given to me when I was a Councillor and I thank you for your support,” he said.
Akwashiki appreciated his political mentor, Chief James  Ewuga, for supporting him to succeed.
” I will complete the ongoing electricity project to Akassa, If we have electricity in the Akassa community, Akassa will experience speedy development.
” I want to appeal to Gov. Abdullahi Sule to construct a road from Lelle to Akassa community, if today we can have roads in Akassa, electricity among other infrastructure, Akassa will develop,” he said.
The  lawmaker urged the people of Akassa community to continue to pray and support Sule to succeed.
” Let’s continue to support the government, let’s remain united  and let’s remain peaceful,” Akwashiki urged.
He  promised  to  sustain his sound representation at the state legislature and called on the people to shun the planned nationwide protests.
” Please, I want to call on you to shun any protest that will cause problems to the society. Protest is not the solution. Peace resolution is the solution,”  Akwashiki said
Earlier, Chief James Ewu-Esson, the Village Head of Akassa community, expressed joy that its people have not regretted voting for Akwashiki to the house.
” You have graded the road from Lelle Lafia to Akassa community, you installed electrical poles to Akassa community.
” You have employed, empowered our youths, among other different projects that you have initiated.
” You have done well and still doing well, please keep it up,” he said
Contributing, the Youth Chairman of Akassa community, Mr Abimiku Yakubu, appreciated Akwashiki for providing the much needed dividends of democracy to the constituency
” We are here to rejoice,  congratulate and identify with you over your quality representation in the house.
” Hon Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, is from our community, His is our own and we are proud to have him as our representative.
” Since the inception of Lafia Central , Hon Solomon Akwashiki is the best lawmaker Lafia Central constituency has ever produced.
” That is why people are calling you Mr Project to re-contest or go higher,” he said.
