The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr Danladi Jatau, has appreciated President Bola Tinubu for appointing his predecessor, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi as Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Yobe.
The speaker gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen during the inauguration of Balarabe- Abdullahi and other Chairmen as well as members of Governing Councils of Federal Tertiary Institutions by the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman in Abuja.
Jatau said that the appointment of his predecessor was well deserved considering his track records and wealth of experience in the country.
He congratulated the former speaker on the appointment and wished him well in his new assignment.
Jatau also expressed hope that the former Speaker would use his wealth of experience to add value to the development of polytechnic education in the country.
He said, ” Today is a very historic day in the history of our state as one of our own, my predecessor and the former Speaker of the state legislature, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has been inaugurated as Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe.
” We believe that the former Speaker has the capacity to do justice to this appointment.”
Jatau thanked Tinubu for appointing the former speaker as Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Yobe.
He said, ” I want to appreciate Tinubu for the honour done to us and our state by appointing the former speaker to occupy that key position.”.
Jatau urged the people of the state to continue to give their maximum support to Tinubu and Gov. Abdullahi Sule as well as other leaders to succeed.
