Commandant Idris Bande, the newly appointed Adamawa state commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has pledged to implement strategies that will enhance national security and the well-being of citizens.
The appointment, effective from 22 August, was announced by DSC Nyako Baba, Public Relations Officer, Adamawa Command, in a statement on Thursday in Yola.
“I am delighted with the warm welcome. I pledge to build upon the successes achieved by my predecessor.
“I am committed to implementing strategies that will further enhance national security and contribute to the overall well-being of the people of Adamawa State.”
Baba said that Commandant Bande was transferred from Zone B headquarters in Kaduna to replace Commandant Ibrahim Mainasara, who served as Commandant for one year and three months.
He said Bande will become the 15th State Commandant of the NSCDC Adamawa State Command.
According to the statement, Commandant Mainasara urged the management, officers, and men of the command to extend their full support to the new Commandant.
Mainasara assured a seamless transition and a conducive environment for the corps to continue its excellent work in the state.
He expressed confidence in Bande’s ability to lead the command effectively while upholding the high standards set by the NSCDC.
“The command expresses confidence that Commandant Bande’s leadership will bring new ideas and innovative approaches to the corps’ operations.
“He will ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness in safeguarding the state and its citizens.”(NAN
