Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has expressed optimism in the 2025 New Year, saying that hopes, dreams, and expectations will be achieved.
He expressed the hope in his New Year message issue by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou, in Yola on Wednesday and urged Nigerians to believe in Nigeria and the Nigerian project.
He said as a nation, Nigerians have a lot to be thankful to God for in 2024.
Fintiri, who regretted challenges faced by the people, noted that the state government delivered much-needed relief through poverty alleviation schemes to help the people.
He added that “as we enter the New Year, the government will continue to build an economy that works for all. We will keep attracting historic investments into the state.”
He reassured the people that the government would continue to work toward making communities safer by strengthening security and reforms to move the state forward.
He added that “we will continue to be there for our people by making life affordable.
“In 2025, let’s continue to show up for one another, and together, let’s build a better future for everyone.
“We must start by defining for ourselves the kind of future we want. It is only when we agree on this that we can unite toward recreating the Nigeria of our collective dreams.”
According to him, most of Nigeria’s problems are man-made and require conscious efforts by citizens to resolve them.
He appealed to the people to shun religious and ethnic intolerance, which are the nation’s major problems. (NAN)
