Kaduna, Jan 21,2026(NAN)The Kaduna State Commissioner for Health, Umma Kaltume-Ahmed on Wednesday, received a donation of pulse Oximeters from the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI).
Receiving the items in her office in Kaduna, the commissioner described CHAI as a worthy and reliable partner to the state’s health sector.
She stated that the organisation had consistently supported the state Ministry of Health in various capacities.
She expressed appreciation for the donation and promised that the equipment would be deployed judiciously to improve healthcare service delivery across the state.
Kaltume-Ahmed said that Gov. Uba Sani, remained passionate about the health sector and he has continued to provide strong support to the ministry in its efforts to strengthen healthcare services.
Presenting the items on behalf of CHAI, the State Team Lead, Dr Sani Abubakar, explained that the pulse Oximeters were intended to support the state’s efforts in combating hypoxemia.
Abubakar also disclosed that CHAI had concluded plans to train BioMedical Engineers and provide mentorship support to ensure the effective utilisation and sustainability of the equipment.(NAN)
