Protesting local government workers block Ring Road, Benin City earlier today. For about a month now, the National Union of Local Government Workers(NULGE), Edo State Branch have been holding protests every Tuesday and Thursday. Their grouse is that the local government management in connivance with the state government diverted their allocations from Abuja, resulting in their being owed salaries running from three to eight months in various LGs respectively.
