In a significant boost to Nigeria’s green industrialization efforts, SAGLEV Electromobility Company Limited, the country’s pioneering electric vehicle (EV) assembler and manufacturer, is set to host two high-profile visits at its state-of-the-art EV assembly and manufacturing facility in Imota, Lagos. The visits underscore the growing commitment to local manufacturing, clean energy transition, and innovation within Nigeria’s automotive sector.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, will undertake a familiarization tour of SAGLEV’s flagship facility. The following day, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), will visit as part of the bank’s efforts to advance climate-resilient transport infrastructure and sustainable industrial development across Africa.

SAGLEV has positioned itself at the forefront of Africa’s e-mobility transformation, with a growing portfolio of 16 electric vehicle models. These include ride-hailing cars, executive sedans, mid-sized electric delivery vans, and BRT electric buses. The company’s integrated EV manufacturing ecosystem supports job creation, technology transfer, import substitution, and local content development, aligning with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope agenda.
