Lagos, Aug. 25, 2025 (NAN) The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) on Monday commended the Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Mr Moyosore Ogunlewe, for distributing General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms to youths in the area.
Mr Lambo Bolanle, Coordinator of NYCN, Kosofe Branch, gave the commendation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
According to Bolanle, the initiative is not just an act of benevolence but a strong testament to his unwavering commitment to youth development, educational empowerment, and community advancement.
“On behalf of the youth of Kosofe, we express our heartfelt gratitude and reaffirm our confidence in Ogunlewe’s purposeful leadership.
“Education is a vital tool for liberation and societal growth.
“Ogunlewe’s support provides opportunities for youths to pursue their academic dreams, thereby positioning them for greater achievements and contributions to society,” he said.
Bolanle also commended Mr Okanlawon Sanni, the lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, for establishing the Okla Computer Academy.
He said the initiative would provide vital digital skills training for youths in the constituency.
According to him, the lawmaker’s action reflects his deep commitment to youth empowerment, capacity building, and sustainable development.
The coordinator noted that the initiative would address unemployment and position Kosofe youths to thrive in the global digital economy.
“The NYCN Kosofe Branch applauds this noble stride and encourages more leaders to emulate such impactful interventions that create lasting opportunities for our youths,” he said. (NAN)
