Bauchi, Jan. 20, 2026 (NAN) The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has strengthened its partnership with certified trainers under the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to align with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda on self-reliance.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the NYSC held a stakeholders’ meeting on Tuesday in Bauchi to discuss identified challenges, proffer solutions, and renew commitments with SAED trainers.
Speaking at the meeting, the Acting Head of SAED, NYSC Bauchi State, Mr Khamisu Ahmed, said that the engagement was aimed at ensuring smooth and effective training during the forthcoming orientation camp and subsequently.
He advised the trainers to strictly adhere to NYSC guidelines and not to default during the mandatory 10-day camp training.
According to him, punctuality at training venues, proper class control, and judicious use of allocated time were critical to the success of the programme.
“Trainers are expected to use SAED banners at training locations and focus on hands-on practical sessions to equip corps members with relevant and sustainable skills,” Ahmed said.
He further said that post-camp SAED trainings must be conducted only at NYSC-approved and designated centres.
The SAED head commended the trainers for their dedication and commitment toward developing the, entrepreneurial capacity of corps members throughout their service year.sE(NAN)
