An explosion on Saturday rocked a building housing a pharmaceutical company, Emenco, in Moore area of Ile Ife, Osun State, leaving one person dead.
The explosion, according to available information, occurred at about 10:30pm.
The Eagle Online was told that but for the prompt intervention of the Osun State Fire Service, the fire from the explosion would have spread to surrounding buildings and the casualty a lot more.
However, the impact of the explosion affected some adjoining buildings.
Pharmaceutical products worth millions of naira were reportedly destroyed.
The police was yet to release any statement on the development as at press time.
