PDP Suspends Delta Lawmaker, Friday Osanebi

The State Working Committee of the Delta State Chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) says it has suspended Hon. Friday Osanebi, the member representing Ndokwa-east State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.

According to a statement from the party on Wednesday, the suspension which was, hitherto, for an initial period of one month, commenced with immediate effect.

“This action has become necessary as a result of reported acts and allegations against Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi which are potentially inimical to the peace and harmony of the party and tantamount to causing discord and disaffection among loyal party members.”

The party said it would refer the matter to the state disciplinary committee, to be made up of Rt. Hon. Lovette Idisi – (chairman), Rt. Hon. Evelyn Oboro, Hon. Itiako Constantine Ikpokpo, Deacon Moses Iduh, Chief Julius Takeme, Barr. Andrew Orugbo as members, while Barr. Bridget Anyafulu is the secretary.

The committee was inaugurated on Tuesday, 16th June, 2020 at the party’s secretariat in the state secretariat and would sit to consider Osanebi’s status.
