Ibadan, Feb.18, 2026 (NAN) The police on Wednesday arraigned one Olasheu Komolafe, 36, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan over an alleged assault and theft.
Komolafe, whose address was not provided, was charged with assault occasioning harm and theft, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp Elisha Tellang told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Feb.16, at about 6.00 p.m., at Moniya, Ibadan.
He alleged that the defendant assaulted one Ibironke Olasunkanmi and inflicted injury on his left eye.
He alleged that the defendant also fought Olasunkanmi and stole his phone, gold necklace and wrist watch.
Tellange said the offences contravene the provisions of Sections 390(9) and 355 of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Moyosore Atanda, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 and two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until March 23, for hearing. (NAN)
