Ibadan, Jan.29, 2026 (NAN) The Police in Oyo on Thursday arraigned a 49-year-old man, Ibrahim Kazeem, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over an alleged misconduct with regards to corpse.
Kazeem, whose address was not provided, was charged with conspiracy and misconduct with regards to corpse.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Elisha Tellang, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Jan.13, at Lagos/Ibadan express way, Ibadan.
Tellang alleged that the defendant and others at large did improperly and indecently interfered with dead human body and removed the bones for money rituals.
He said the offences contravene Sections 242(1)(b) and 516 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Moyosore Atanda, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 and two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Feb.24, for hearing. (NAN)
