Ramadan: Gov. Idris reduces work hours for civil servants

Gov. Nasir Idris of Kebbi has approved the reduction of official work hours for civil servants in the state in the spirit of Ramadan.
Mr. Auwal Manu-Dogondaji, Commissioner, State’s Ministry of Establishment, Pensions, and Training, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.
He said, “The official time frame has been reduced by two hours daily.
“Consequently, the new working hours from Monday to Thursday are 8:00 to 2:00, while on Friday they are 8:00 8:00 to 12:00.
“Normal working hours will be reverted to normal hours at the end of the Ramadan period.”
The commissioner said the gesture was a demonstration of magnanimity by the governor in the spirit of Ramadan.
He said it was also to allow civil servants to discharge their normal religious activities with ease. (NAN)
