Kaduna, Jan. 15, 2026 (NAN) Mr Daniel Amos (APC-Kaduna), has donated a brand new ambulance to the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, to strengthen the institution’s healthcare and emergency response capacity.

His Senior Legislative Aide, Mr Samuel Shamaki, led a delegation during the official hand over of the ambulance on Thursday at the university’s premises in Kachia, Kachia Local Government Area.

Speaking during the brief ceremony, Shamaki said the donation reflected Amos’ commitment to education and his belief that a healthy and secure learning environment was essential for academic excellence.

He explained that the intervention was aimed at enhancing the welfare of students, staff, and the wider university community, adding that prompt medical response remained a critical component of any functional academic institution.

He said: “The gesture also underscores the lawmaker’s broader dedication to human capital development and sustainable educational growth in Southern Kaduna and beyond.”

Receiving the ambulance, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Quirix Barnabas, expressed gratitude to Amos for what he described as a timely and impactful donation.

Barnabas said the ambulance would significantly improve the university’s capacity to respond to medical emergencies, noting that it would help safeguard lives and contribute to a more conducive learning environment.

He commended the lawmaker for his consistent support for education and assured that the ambulance would be properly utilised for the benefit of the entire university community.

The donation, observers say, further strengthens the collaborative relationship between the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, and the office of Amos, with a shared focus on educational development, community welfare, and a safe academic environment. (NAN)
