Ibadan, Feb. 17, 2026 (NAN) A Sales Representative, Aliu Adeyemo, 45, on Tuesday, appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan, over alleged N2,292,000 fraud.
Adeyemo, an employee of Sunking Company, Ring Road, Ibadan, was charged with obtaining money under false pretenses and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, ASP Olagoke Adegbenro, told the court that the defendant committed the offences between June 2025 and January, 2026, at the aforementioned company.
He alleged that the defendant obtained the company’s products worth N2,292,000.
According to him, the defendant stole the solar products as he did not return them or pay for the products untill date.
He said that the offences contravened provisions of Sections 390(9) and 419 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, granted the defendant N500,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.
She held that both sureties must be blood relations of the defendant and adjourned the case until March 24, for hearing. (NAN)(
