In a significant stride towards fostering peace and security in the Southeast region, Chief Chikwe Udensi, a security consultant affiliated with Inter-Pol systems, has made a commendable contribution to the Peace in the Southeast Project (PISE-P). The seasoned security expert, Chief Udensi, donated advanced crime-detecting software and hardware during a ceremony held in Abuja.
Expressing his commitment to the mission of ending persistent insecurity in the Southeast, Chief Udensi fulfilled a promise made to the PISE-P team. He emphasised that the provided security equipment would play a crucial role in combating crime and criminality in the South East, emphasising that peace is unattainable without robust security measures.
During the donation event, Chief Udensi stated, “I do agree that Peace in the South East is the ultimate ‘Udo kanma.’ Just like I promised you last year, I will provide two contributions for this project to succeed because my area of specialty is security.” He pledged both advice and essential tools, including hardware and software, to access vital crime data for the success of the project.
Acknowledging the financial challenges associated with the initiative, Chief Udensi announced additional funding to support the capital-intensive project, lauding the vision of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Benjamin Kalu, and his fellow lawmakers for spearheading the PISE-P project.
In December 2023, Chief Udensi expressed his support for PISE-P during a courtesy visit by Mary Ikoku, Chairman of Media and Publicity for PISE-P, to his Arochukwu County. He commended Ikoku for aligning with a project focused on societal benefit rather than personal gain.
Responding to Chief Udensi’s generous contribution, Mr. Ogbonna Ukuku, PISE-P Project Coordinator, expressed gratitude and announced Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu’s intention to personally thank Chief Udensi for his kind gesture.
Mary Ikoku, the Chairman of Media and Publicity for PISE-P, praised Chief Udensi for providing Interpol digitally synthesised data storage units, emphasising the pivotal role these security gadgets would play in achieving the project’s goal of ensuring peace and security in the Southeast region.
The Peace in the Southeast Project (PISE-P), a strategic platform for peace restoration, is led by Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, with support from members of the Southeast Caucus of the 10th National Assembly. The project was inaugurated by President Bola Amend Tinubu on December 29, 2023, in the Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
