Service: AbdulRazaq commends federal workers

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara on Tuesday commended heads of federal establishments in the state for their contributions to national development.

The governor made the commendation in Ilorin while speaking at the National Forum of Heads of Federal Government Establishments’ end of year party, inauguration of the forum’s House, launching of book and presentation of a school bus.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the book: “From Aun Rise to Sun Shine”, was the history of the establishment of the Federal Staff School (FSSS).

AbdulRazaq lauded the federal government staff for their services, not only in Kwara but throughout the federation.

“Let me also thank all of you for what you have been doing in the state, not just the state, but throughout the federation,.

“Your sense of work is well appreciated; we appreciate your service, your duty to the nation,” the governor said.

He also congratulated the forum for the bus presented to the FSS as well as the launching of the book.

“This book, to me, is well researched; a lot of research has gone into writing this book, I will devote time to read it,” he said.

The governor described the Forum House, which comprised a guest house, restaurant, bar and event hall as a fulfillment of the leadership of the forum.

AbdulRazaq therefore commended Mrs Folashade Boriowo, the Chairperson of the forum, for achieving the feats.

He noted that the forum house was more than a meeting place for the federal workers, but would also generate employment and improve on the IGR of the state.

Earlier in her address of welcome, Boriowo expressed gratitude to all members of her executive for a job well done since their inauguration in 2017.

She added that apart from commissioning the forum house, a book on the history of the FSS would be presented to the public as well as presentation of a bus to the school.

According to her, on assumption of office, the executive agreed to turn the clubhouse into an edifice befitting the status of heads of federal establishments in Kwara.

“To the glory of God, not just blowing our trumpet, apart from this Forum House that we are commissioning today, there are other areas that we have added value to this association,” she added.

Boriowo said the population of the primary school has increased from 306 to 382, while that of the secondary school rose to 692 from 284 students. (NAN)
