Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr. Danladi Jatau, has assured people of the state of more democratic dividends under the APC-led government of Gov. Abdullahi Sule.
The speaker also assured his people of an all-inclusive administration and equal opportunities for all, irrespective of their political affiliations in the state.
The speaker, who represents Kokona West Constituency, made the call while playing host to members of the Sakwato community who paid him a courtesy call in his office in Lafia on Wednesday.
“I am Speaker for all, and by God’s grace, I will continue to provide all inclusive leadership in the state,” he said.
Jatau called on the people of the state to support the government of the day under Abdullahi Sule for more democratic dividends.
He commended the effort of the state government for the construction and finishing of the primary school at Sakwato, among other interventions in the area.
The speaker expressed optimism that, in no time, Gov. Sule would construct the Garaku-Bassa road.
He also used the medium to appreciate his colleagues for their support and reassure them that he would not fail in his responsibilities.
He enjoined his people to live in peace with one another, irrespective of their affiliations.
Earlier, Chief Gideon Affiku, the Eggon Sakwato community leader who led his people on the visit, said they were in the speaker’s office to congratulate him on his emergence.
He assured the Speaker of their support at all times to enable him to succeed and commended him for providing boreholes for the people of Sakwato.
He appealed for more boreholes among other interventions in the area and made a case for more employment for their people, especially youths. (NAN)
