Taraba government maps out plans for Osinbajo’s visit

Plans, according to the Taraba state governor Darius Ishaku have been concluded for the visit of the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to the state which according to him is slated for the 10th of this month.

In  a Press statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Mijinyawa, the Vice President would be in the state to commission some projects which according to him includes the Multi Billion Naira Green House project and the Jalingo-Kona Road dualisation projects.

Stressing that the presence of Osinbajo, would go a long way in assuring the people that the federal government has the state at heart, the governor believed that the visit would as well help to highlight some of the projects the administration had executed.

The projects, according to governor Ishaku “are in fulfilment of the administration’s drive to create jobs, boost revenue generation and extend the state’s road network for sustainable commuting of persons and farm produce to accelerate development”.

He pleaded with the people of the state to give the August visitor a rousing welcome to the state by eschewing vices that would truncate the visit.

On their parts the state Police command confirmed that it has concluded arrangements towards the Acting President’s visit and is working with sister agencies to ensure that the visit is hitch free.

The Command’s spokesman ASP David Misal who made this known to Quick News Africa, said said relevant security apparatus have been put in place to ensure a successful visit of the Vice President and his entourages.

According to him,  “Operation order has been drawn already and the command is fully on the alert in all ramifications to ensure that there are no security challenges whatsoever prior to, during, and after the visit.”
