A preliminary court decision has demanded a 6-year-old boy, little Eitan involved in an alleged Kidnap case, to remain in Israel for the time being.

Eitan is the only survivor of the cable car disaster by Italy’s Lake Maggiore.

The boy will remain until the resumption of the trial at the family court in Tel Aviv, scheduled for Oct. 8, the ANSA news agency reported on Thursday.

According to ANSA, judicial sources said that Eitan’s maternal relatives and his aunt Aya Biran-Nirko, who travelled from Italy to Israel, will share his guardianship.

Eitan, who lost both parents, a younger brother, and two great-grandparents in the accident on Whit Sunday, had been flown to Israel secretly by his maternal grandfather almost a fortnight ago, in defiance of a court order.

The public prosecutor’s office of the Italian city of Pavia is investigating the man for child abduction.

As it is a session of the family court, she could not give any further details.

Eitan’s aunt from Italy, Aya Biran-Nirko, said as she entered the courtroom, “I want to bring Eitan back home. I am very worried about him, I want to bring him home as soon as possible.’’

Eitan’s grandmother and, according to media reports, another man were also under suspicion.

The man had driven the grandfather and the boy in a rented car from Pavia to Switzerland, from where they flew to Tel Aviv, the daily newspaper Corriere della Sera wrote on Sunday.
