Yenagoa, Feb, 27, 2026 (NAN) The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Bayelsa, says the choice of Dr Peter Akpe as Bayelsa Deputy Governor is ‘strategic and well-though-out’
In a statement to newsmen on Friday, the Coordinator, Timipa Orunimighe, commended Gov. Douye Diri for the choice.
In the statement signed by RHA’s Publicity Secretary, Mr Udengs Eradiri, Orunimighe said that Akpe had the requisite knowledge and experience to serve as deputy governor.
“His experience as a former lawmaker and Chief of Staff to the governor stands him out, and qualifies him significantly for the position.
“Akpe is a grassroots politician, seasoned educator and a political strategist. There is no doubt that he will support the Diri-led government to finish strong,” he said.
Orunimighe further said that the jubilation that accompanied Akpe’s choice was a testimony to his wide acceptance by Bayelsa people.
The RHA coordinator said that the emergence of Akpe would deepen the penetration of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
“We sincerely congratulate the new deputy governor. We wish him a fruitful reign as the number two citizen of the state.(NAN)
