
A Jos Magistrates’ Court, on Monday sentenced a 23 year-old trader, Hosea Nandong, to one year imprisonment for illegal possession of hard drugs.
The convict, who pleaded guilty to the charge before Magistrate Shawomi Bokkos, was summarily tried and sentenced with an option of fine of N100,000.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Labaran Ahmed, told the court that the case was reported on June 19 by a group of officers on patrol.
Ahmed said the convict was also into selling hard drugs.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the Plateau State Penal Code Law. (NAN)
