Millions of naira have been lost and property destroyed after a trailer’s brakes failed and ran into some shops at Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos State late on Monday.
An official of the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps who declined to speak said the incident happened at about 10 pm on the said night, while the trailer was descending the Iyana-Ipaja Bridge, towards Agbotikuyo Agege.
“The driver lost control and crashed into a row of shops by the side of the road, just by the foot of the Iyana-Ipaja overhead bridge, near the ring-road in front of the motor park.
“No life was lost,” the LNSC official said.
