The northern city of Kano in the early hours of Saturday was hit by twin bomb explosions at the Eastern by-pass and Hotoro area near the NNPC mega stations killing the suspected suicide bombers.
The bombs had exploded missing the actual target being the military JTF locations, several mobile policemen also sustained injuries and have rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
In a related development, a man of Yoruba extraction was also assassinated on Saturday as the Kano State Police Command confirmed arrest of four Nigeriens suspected of being involved the recent terrorist attacks in Kano. According to the Police, the suspects have provided useful information for further investigations.
