Volleyball: Benue Queens beat Kada Queens 3-0 to record third victory

Benue Queens volleyball club, on Monday defeated their counterparts Kada Queens of Kaduna 3-0 to record its third win at the ongoing 2024 Comptroller General of Customs Volleyball Premier League.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports this is the six games for both teams in the women category.

Benue Queens were determine to win their match.

They won the first set 25-18, they beat them 25-22 in the second set and finally defeated them 25-20 in the third set.

Speaking after the match, coach of the Benue Queens volleyball club, Jessica Euguwa, told NAN that the team won the match due to adequate preparation.

“The girls were well prepared for the competition and they were determined to win this match.

“This is our sixth match now, we won three and we lost three. I will continue to encourage the girls to be serious in their remaining matches.

“Even though we won this match, we discovered some lapses that we must correct against our next match,”she said

The league is organized by the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) with sponsorship from the Nigeria Customs Service.

NAN reports that of 24 teams comprising 12 men and 12 women teams respectively are participating in the League.

The first phase of the League which started on Aug. 26 is expected to end on Sept. 10 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium. (NAN
