We Did Not Issue Ultimatum To Delta State, Says Miyetti Allah, Fulani leaders

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association Of Nigeria has distanced itself from a statement credited to MACBAN, in which a 72-hour ultimatum was issued to Delta State to reverse its support for the ban on open grazing of cattles in the Southern part of Nigeria.

According to the Secretary-General of MACBAN, Usman Baba-Ngelzerma, such a statement by faceless individuals is only meant to create mischief, as its association will never do anything to jeopardise the peace of the country.

Similarly, some leaders in the Fulani community in Delta State, who addressed newsmen in Asaba, had reiterated yesterday that their people were not responsible for the threat letter purportedly issued by some Fulani Jihadists to attack Asaba and Agbor.

As shown in the letter below;

The Sariki Delta, Alhaji Musa Mohammed, said they have been in Delta for over 40 years, maintaining that they knew nothing about the publication, while on his part, Mr. Muktar Usman who is also serving in the Delta State Government as Senior Special Assistant to Governor Okowa on Special Duties, expressed disappointment in the anonymous publication saying Fulani residents in the state now live in fear of being attacked by their host communities since the publication became public on Sunday.
