Ibadan, March 9, 2026 (NAN) A 40-year-old woman, Dasola Jimoh, on Monday appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan over alleged trespass.

Jimoh, whose address was not provided, was charged with conspiracy, trespass and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

She, however, pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 7 at about 11.00 p.m. at the Iletuntun area of Ibadan.

He alleged that the defendant conspired with others to trespass on plots of land belonging to Olak Ventures and commenced construction without the company’s consent.

Adegbite said the defendant conducted herself in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace, thereby committing an offence contrary to Sections 249(d) and 516 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Kausarat Ayofe, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum.

Ayofe held that the surety must be a blood relation of the defendant and adjourned the case until May 19 for hearing. (NAN)
