Action Democratic Party (ADP) has commended the resilience of Nigerian workers, and urged the Organized Labor to remain resolute in the struggle for better working conditions for civil servants in the country.
Mr Yabagi Sani, ADP National Chairman, said this on Wednesday in Abuja to commemorate the 2024 Worker’s day celebration.
Sani said that the day was to serve as a reminder for workers to not give up hope on a better and improved civil service, and country because of the current economic hardship.
“As we commemorate the historic struggles and gains made by workers and the labor movement today, we encourage Nigerian workers not to give up in the face of the current turbulent times.“ADP urges the organized labor to remain resolute in its fight against unfriendly policies.
“It must speak truth to power and remain focused.
“Labor must remember its battle is not only for those empowered by the government, but also for those in the private sector and indeed the average Nigerian,” he said.
He added: “The labor should continue to champion the struggle for a better Nigeria and not be cowed because the battle is one with victory ahead,” he said.
Sani saluted the great men and women who toiled daily in service to their fatherland for the betterment of the country and the civil service. (NAN)
