2 docked for allegedly stealing industrial materials worth N230,000

Ikorodu (Lagos State), Feb. 23, 2026 (NAN) The Police in Lagos on Monday, arraigned Sunday Daniel, 20, and Ibrahim Tenimu, 32, before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, for allegedly stealing iron and copper material from an industry worth N230,000.

The defendants are facing a two-count charge  charge bordering on stealing.

The duo, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

The prosecutor, Adegeshin Famuyiwa, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Feb. 12, at about 6 p.m., at Landcraft industry, Odogunyan in Ikorodu.

He alleged that the defendants, Sunday Daniel stole iron rod worth N,150, 000 while Ibrahim Tenimu stole copper worth N80,000 belonging to Landcraft industry.

Famuyiwa said that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 287 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Magistrate, Mr .A. O. Ogbe, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100,000 each, with two sureties each in like sum.

He adjourned the case until March 29, for mention. (NAN)
