22-year-old docked for allegedly stealing broilers worth N400,000

Ibadan, Feb. 3, 2026 (NAN) A 22-year-old man, Ayomide Daniel, was on Tuesday arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing broilers valued at N400,000.

Daniel, whose address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge of unlawful entry and stealing.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor, Insp Omolade Adetule, told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offences on Nov. 24, 2025, at about 6.00 p.m. in Ido town.

Adetule alleged that Daniel unlawfully entered the pen of Mr Temitope Adewuyi and stole four breeder broilers valued at N400,000.

She said the offences contravened Sections 390(9) and 412 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned until Feb. 9 for hearing. (NAN)
