24 ships discharge petroleum products, others in Lagos ports

A total of 24 ships are discharging petroleum products and other commodities at Apapa, Lekki and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Friday.

NPA explained that the ships were discharging bulk wheat, bulk salt, general cargoes, fresh fish, containers, bulk sugar, petrol, bulk gas, diesel, bulk urea and containers.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 46 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are also expected to arrive the Lagos ports.

NPA said that the expected ships would bring general cargoes, bulk urea, crude oil, bulk gas, bulk wheat, bulk millet, bulk sugar, condensate, aviation fuel, delivery, containers of different goods, bulk salt and petrol.

It said nine ships had also arrived at the ports waiting to berth with bulk urea, crude oil, diesel, aviation fuel, gasoline, bulk fertilizer, general cargo and petrol. (NAN)
