Ibadan, March 4, 2026 (NAN) The police on Wednesday, charge three men before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, for allegedly stealing vehicles worth N12.5 million.
They were alleged to have stolen a Reanut Master bus worth nine million naira and a Nissan Almera car worth N3.5 million.
The defendants are: Musa Ogundimu, 36; Tirimisiyu Adio, 50; and Azeez Abeeb, 27.
The trio whose addresses were not provided are standing trial on charges bordering on conspiracy, stealing and receiving stolen item.
They each however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, Insp. Adeshina Folaranmi, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Sept. 17, 2025, at about 7.00 a.m. at Iwo road, Ibadan.
He alleged that Ogundimu and Adio stole a Reanut Master bus worth nine million naira and a Nissan Almera car worth N3.5 million.
He alleged that the cars respectively belong to one Samuel Olaoluwa and Olufade Olatunbosun.
Meanwhile, he alleged that Abeeb received a Nissan Almera engine, knowing that same was stolen from its owner.
The offences contravene the provisions of sections 390(9), 427 and 516 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwabusayo Osho, granted Ogundimu and Adio bail in the sum of four million naira each with two sureties each in like sum.
She also granted Abeeb bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The court adjourned the case until June 1, for hearing. (NAN)
